Innovation isn't just about having a good idea; it’s about having the teamwork and the grit to bring that idea to life. Today, we are celebrating a powerhouse group of young innovators from Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri (SPM) who did exactly that.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our team of Grade 7 and 8 students secured 2nd Place (Silver Award) and—most impressively—the title of "The Most Innovative Team" at the Youth Quest Competition 2026!
Synergy in Action
Competing against some of the brightest young minds, our students proved that when you combine different perspectives, the results are groundbreaking. Earning the "Most Innovative Team" award is a testament to their ability to think outside the box, challenge the status quo, and "Synergize" (Habit 6) to solve complex problems.
Whether it was their technical approach or their unique presentation style, this team showed the judges exactly what "Unleashing Potential" looks like in the real world.

A Legacy of Leadership
As we continue to celebrate SPM’s 30th Anniversary, achievements like this highlight why the Leader in Me framework is so vital. By "Thinking Win-Win" and collaborating across grade levels, Bina, Allegra, Kezia, Shalom, Bila, and Andjari have set a high bar for future SPM innovators.
Winning a Silver Award is a massive achievement, but being recognized as the most innovative group in the room? That’s the SPM way.
"True innovation happens when we stop working in silos and start working as one. This team didn't just meet the requirements—they redefined them. Huge congratulations to our Silver Winners!"
